Reverse Pitch with BWH Geriatricians

About

The Division of Aging at Brigham and Women’s Hospital is developing breakthrough programs of integrated care that help older patients, along with their families and caregivers, to thrive.

Yet, the rising demand for hospitals to treat older adults - particularly those who suffer with chronic conditions, frailty, and/or cognitive decline - are outpacing their ability to provide affordable quality care at scale.

Innovation is the key.

Come learn how your startup can solve the unmet needs in the medical care system.

You'll hear directly from geriatricians, nurses, and rehab specialists as they share what works, what doesn’t, and what needs to be done to help hospitals:

  • Improve care coordination to ensure that patients (and their data) seamlessly transition between care settings in hospitals, rehab centers, and home

  • Apply advanced genetic and medical research to create customized treatment and prevention strategies that extend quality lifespans

  • Integrate technology (sensors, voice, smartphones, etc.) to allow older people to live independently for as long as possible

  • Better assess the interdisciplinary touchpoints required to deliver holistic geriatric care that respects the needs and wishes of each patient

  • Optimize clinical care in a manner that reduces costs, burdens, readmissions, and inefficiencies system-wide.

Join us for a conversation to spark ideas for new products, devices, tools, and services. You’ll meet geriatric experts and fellow innovators who can help turn your ideas into commercial successes.
